ATTACHED STAFF
District nurses check each day for messages from the doctors and patients. They
provide nursing care, advice and support for patients at home. The Shirley team
of midwives covers all pregnant women registered with our surgery. Our usual midwife
provides pregnancy care with antenatal checks at the health centre and at home,
to the early days of postnatal care at home again. Her antenatal clinic is here
at the health centre on Thursday afternoons. Our midwife can be contacted via
the midwifery secretary at Solihull Hospital on (0121) 709 0209.
Health visitors provide support and advice for families with children to promote
health and to prevent physical, emotional and social aspects of ill health. Well
baby clinics and postnatal groups are held at the health centre at Northbrook.
The health visitor can be contacted on (0121) 744 0961.
Physiotherapists, chiropodists, speech therapists and audiologists have several
